  Yum Yum Tree Records are proud to present a new album release by the Kim Lawson Quartet titled 'Hey Day'.  This marks Lawson's second release as a band leader along side the superlative Matt McMahon on fender rhodes/piano as well as former trio members virtuoso bassist Steve Hunter and powerhouse drummer James Hauptmann.  
  The Kim Lawson Quartet encompasses music and life as Australian jazz musicians living in a modern Sydney world.  The new compositions by Kim, Steve and James have created a natural flow-on from Lawson's original trio vibe, writing for the player, being open and allowing for collective risk taking.  Emotive and exciting creative music that will hopefully take you somewhere you haven’t been before.
